1. Interview – Before the pageant begins, Beauties/Gentlemen and their Buddy/representative will meet with the judges for a brief 3 minute interview. Questions will be pulled from registration forms and Beauties/Gentlemen (or an aide/Buddy) will answer from the heart. This category helps Beauties/Gentlemen practice one on one conversational skills.

2. Personal Introduction - Each Beauty/Gentleman or their Buddy/aide will state their name, age and one special thing about themselves during on stage intros. This category helps Beauties/Gentlemen practice public speaking and take pride in themselves.

3. Showcase Your Ability - Each Beauty/Gentleman, or their Buddy/aide will have up to 90 seconds on stage to perform or show something that makes them special - Showing artwork, a favorite book or stuffed animal, singing, or dancing, etc. This category allows the participants to show the judges one of their abilities that make them unique.

4. Evening Wear – Each Beauty/Gentleman will wear their favorite evening outfit, will be escorted on stage, stop in front of the judges and strut their stuff. This category helps Beauties/Gentlemen show their confidence through body language.

5. On-stage Question – After the evening wear walk, each Beauty/Gentleman will be asked a question from the registration form for her/him to answer. This category helps Beauties/Gentlemen practice public speaking and take pride in themselves.

6. Overall Growth – The judges will spend time with Beauties/Gentlemen from the moment they arrive to the moment the walk on stage and will watch as each grows and becomes more comfortable, open and confident. This category helps the judges see more than just what’s on stage.

Princess/Prince Awards – Once the main scores are tabulated, Beauties who are to be crowned Princess will also each receive one additional award/sash in each age category for the following: Best Dressed, Biggest Smile, Most Sassy, Photogenic and Showcase

All Beauties/Gentlemen must submit a 5x7 or 8x10 photograph of themselves - This does not need to be a professional photo but it should be either a headshot or from the waist up

One Beauty from each age category will be named Queen and will receive a crown, trophy, Queen sash, and flowers. All other Beauties will receive a crown, trophy, one Princess Award sash, flowers and be named Princess. One Gentleman from each age category will be named King and will receive a mens crown, trophy, sash and boutonnière. All other Gentlemen will receive a medal, trophy, Prince sash, boutonnière and be named Prince.

Sponsorship Queen or King (OPTIONAL): Sponsorship money is funds collected by each Beauty/Gent for Miss Abilities Organization and are separate from the entry fee. This is a great opportunity for Beauties/Gents to build their communication skills, meet business people in our community and learn how to present themselves to others. Every Beauty/Gent that raises at least $100 will be given a special gift, a Sponsorship Princess or Prince Award will be presented in each age group to the individual who raises the largest amount of money through sponsors (there must be at least three sponsorship participants in each age group to name a Sponsorship Princess or Prince Award winner) and the overall sponsorship winner from all age groups who collects the largest dollar amount in sponsorships will be named Sponsorship Queen or King and receive a sash, pin, scepter, and a cash prize. Sponsors may be businesses, friends, or relatives.
